There are two main options in Chicago for building community gardens on public land, City of Chicago owned land and Chicago Park District land. I'm on both the Resources and the Advocacy and Outreach Committees for CCGA. I currently work on two community gardens, one on City of Chicago land and another on Chicago Park District land. There are also various programs where you can buy City owned land but you must meet the qualifications of the programs. Who is your alderman?
