Hello Chairs and CCGA working group members. It is already time to think
about 2023. It was brought up at the 10/18 coordinating meeting that we can
get a head start on the conference and avoid being told by venues that we
didn't contact them soon enough to secure the date(s) we wanted.
So, we need to hear from everyone: Do we want to return to an in
person conference? Is it less expensive and more sustainable to reach
people with a virtual conference? Do we want a hybrid? Let's take a few
comments to inform our agenda for the December meeting.
Second, if we are to return to an in person conference, Gina and I brought
up the fact that we have two venues already thoroughly vetted from 2020,
and we had a good relationship with staff to build on for 2023. Those were
Whitney M. Young Magnet School and Truman Community College.
Let's make our December coordinating meeting the place to start actual
conference planning, take a vote on what kind of conference we want, and
enlist volunteers for the ad-hoc planning committee and planning meetings
and a timeline.
Regards,
Lorraine
