Hello,

In advance of our coordinating meeting this evening I am sharing an
announcement with CCGA chairs in hopes that they will also communicate with
their team volunteers. Many of you are not on Facebook, so you might
otherwise miss this.

CCGA and the Education Committee have been working with the Obama
Foundation and CCGA is one of the organizations invited to table at this
event. We will have a tent and give away seeds donated by May Toy. Stop by
after the Resources Distribution or whenever you can. We will be there from
12-2pm. Food, drinks, and music will be provided. See you there!

So before Saturday, go ahead and spread the word about the upcoming Obama
Foundation Event on Saturday, May 20 at the South Merrill Community Garden,
located at 7030 South Merrill Ave. This inaugural event is the first of the
three-part series designed to engage community members through hands-on
activations to promote important themes of the upcoming Obama Presidential
Center —introducing neighbors to everything the Center will offer. This
first event will center the importance of gardening and the environment to
introduce the Eleanor Roosevelt Fruit & Vegetable Garden at the future
Center.

Please feel free to send the attached flyer to your volunteers and
contacts. Any questions or concerns, please contact me.

Regards,
Lorraine
