Sharing a grant opportunity with you all: the 2023 Capacity Building Grant
is now live <https://forms.gle/3xZui45aEurGqB5F7>!


   1. *What is it?*
      1. The Capacity Building Grant is a grant fund housed by AUA and
      distributed by a participatory grantmaking committee made up of 4 local
      growers. The grant is aimed at supporting growers, both farmers and
      community gardeners, who are working to expand and scale up their
      operations. Farms are eligible for up to $20,000. Community gardens are
      eligible for up to $5,000.


   1. *What are the dates to know?*
      1. October 10th, 2023, from 11am-12pm - AUA is hosting a webinar for
      the grant. This webinar will have simultaneous interpretation in
      Spanish. Register here

      2. October 25th, 2023 at 3pm - You can submit your draft application,
      even if it is just a paragraph, as many times as you want for
feedback from
      the people who are making funding decisions! Submit your draft

      receive feedback before the final application deadline.

   2. *Am I eligible?*
      1. Generally speaking, farms and community gardens within Chicago and
      its surrounding areas are eligible. Check AUA's website

      eligibility criteria.
