We would be glad to plan for November if that would allow more members to attend, and I think your ideas for a workshop or group meeting sound wonderful. We’ve had the opportunity to read CCGA’s ‘Guide to Rats in Community Gardens’ and are interested to hear the challenges and successes members have had with various approaches, as well as their concerns or suggestions about the City’s approach to rats.

Hello,

I believe this would be a most productive meeting, and rat infestations are an ongoing issue for all community gardeners, so we welcome this outreach. Our website already contains important information concerning rats. This would be a good update to that information.

We hold monthly coordinating meetings for our five committee chairs on the third Tuesday of each month. In order to get the word out to have more of our gardeners attend, we might wait until our November meeting, or allow us to plan a workshop to have an even larger gathering in November.

Chairs and representatives of our committees will be meeting Tues.Oct 17, and hopefully we'll hear back from you before then to put this on our agenda, and allow us to plan. You are both welcome to attend this meeting which will be held at the Hatchery, 135 N Kedzie, from 6 to 7:30 pm.
