[Advocacy-outreach] From CCGA - Coordinating Meeting Reminder - Next Tuesday October 17 at 6PM

Hello All,

This is a reminder that the next CCGA coordinating meeting is NEXT TUESDAY
October 17 at 6pm. This is our normal monthly meeting for October.

This will be an in-person meeting at The Hatchery, 135 N. Kedzie Ave.

The draft meeting minutes from the September meeting are attached to this
email and posted on the CCGA website.  A draft agenda is attached and if
you have any specific agenda items to add or suggest then email that note
to communications at chicagocommunitygardens.org.

We have special guests attending our meeting who are Anne O’Brien and Amy
Dupuis both with the City of Chicago’s Office of Inspector General.  OIG is
conducting an audit of the Department of Streets and Sanitation’s Bureau of
Rodent Control, and they’re hoping to align their audit objectives with the
issues most important to residents and gardeners. They've reached out to
ask if they could meet with CCGA to hear our members’ perspectives on city
rat abatement services, alternative pest management strategies, and any
other topics of interest for community gardeners across Chicago.
