Woo-hoo, I am so excited that the Legacy Gardeners will be supported by
this grant. It took a considerable time to write and submit all the while I
was in Philadelphia otherwise absorbed with my grandson!
It was worth. In fact Henry was just here over labor day for a wonderful
visit. This comes together well.
PS Angela, I may need your help with the W9
Regards,
Lorraine

Dear Lorraine,
On behalf of the Garden Conservancy, I am delighted to share that – after
careful review of over 110 applications received – our Garden Futures Grant
Committee has selected Chicago Community Gardeners Association as one of
this year’s grant recipients! The award amount is $2,500.00 to be used
wherever it is needed most. Please complete and return the attached W9 by
email so that we can send a check.
We will announce the award winners at a reception and dinner at the Union
Club in New York City on September 29, for which you will soon receive a
Paperless Post invitation. You are also invited to attend our *Garden
Futures Summit* at the New York Botanical Garden earlier that day. More
information on the Summit can be found here
<https://www.gardenconservancy.org/education/gfs-2023>. If you would like
to attend the Summit, please RSVP by replying to this email.
We ask that all grant recipients share a brief written report (1-2 pages)
on the use of the grant within one year of receiving the funds. Please
email this report to: gardensforgood at gardenconservancy.org.
I look forward to being in touch to discuss further ways that the Garden
Conservancy might use our national voice to draw attention to the good work
of your organization.
Sincerely,
