[Advocacy-outreach] From CCGA - Coordinating Meeting - TOMORROW September 19 at 6PM

Hello All,
This is a reminder that the next CCGA coordinating meeting is TOMORROW,
Tuesday September 19 at 6PM. This is our normal monthly meeting for
September.
This will be an in-person meeting at The Hatchery, 135 N. Kedzie Ave. As our
first in-person meeting of 2023 it will be exciting to re-engage with each
other and build up our energy as we start to consider new initiatives for
2024.
A draft agenda is attached. If you have any specific agenda items to add
or suggest then email a note to communications at chicagocommunitygardens.org
<communications at chicagocommunitygardens.org>.
Plan to attend to give your support to CCGA's garden event series this
year, please check your calendars and mark these dates listed below. CCGA
will be setting up an information table at each of these events and we need
at least 2 CCGA volunteers per event. Please email
communications at chicagocommunitygardens.org if you can commit to one of
these dates.

CCGA Fall Event Series Dates
Sept 23 (Saturday) Garfield Park Community Garden Tour - visit three
community gardens, Limes Smiles for Miles and the Garfield Park
Neighborhood Market
Sept 30 (Saturday) Visit the Field Museum Rice Nature Garden - visit this
pollinator habitat and hear a presentation on native plants and native
pollinators.
Sept 30 (Saturday) Oriole Park Teaching Garden - tours given by student
greeters - a mint sugar scrub making station - a leaf rubbing art station -
a planting station with cuttings needing to be potted - a raffle with
prizes including garden t-shirts and other gardening related gifts - a
short presentation explaining how to get a garden ready for winter.
October 15 (Sunday) Windsor Park Community Garden (7557 S. Saginaw) – Will
have a beekeeping workshop and a Permaculture design demonstration. Snacks
and light refreshments
