[Communications] Inquiry- Marshall Square Community Garden

Good morning,

I'm a resident in the Marshall Square/Little Village community.  There is a
community garden plot at 23rd and Marshall.  I was in contact with the
families who were running it last year, and they all moved from the
neighborhood.   My partner and I are in the process of cleaning up the
garden to remove any dead plant matter that could host pests, and we were
told by one of the previous members that we could inherit their raised bed.

My question is-  Is there any kind of official process we need to go
through to start this garden back up? It seems abandoned (overgrown, rotten
& abandoned produce)  but it's a great neighborhood and we'd love to pick
it back up and share produce with the neighbors.
