Ellen Newcomer,

My name is Ryan Belville, and I serve as the principal at McAuliffe
Elementary School in the Logan Square neighborhood.  Currently, I am
enrolled in an education doctoral program with Illinois State University. A
project this semester requires me to conduct interviews and practice data
analysis. I have had the opportunity in recent week to participate in a
variety of events centered around environmental education.  Agricultural
education and sustainability programs are extremely meaningful to me and
have had an overwhelmingly positive impact on my school community.

It would be a valuable learning experience and help me meet my course
requirement if you have 30 minutes to 1 hour available to interview. The
interview will be an opportunity for you to share more about your
background related to environmental efforts, your path to engaging in this
work in the Chicago area, and ways you strive to impact our community.

I would appreciate the opportunity to meet at your earliest convenience in
order to meet the semester deadline in early May.  I will be available on
the morning of Thursday, April 11 and during the week of April 22-26.  I am
happy to meet at a place that is most convenient for you too.  Let me know
