and chamber music with Mathias Tacke from the Vermeer String Quartet. She
received her BM in violin performance from University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign while studying with Simin Ganatra. Growing up, Emily spent
her summers attending California Summer Music, Interlochen Arts Camp, and
Madeline Island. Emily has participated in master classes with the Silk

Almita Vamos, John McGrosso, Kurt Baldwin, Rebecca Henry, and the Parker
Quartet. She received the Farwell Award from the Musicians Club of Women

request. Emily frequently performed with Yo-Yo Ma during her time as
Concertmaster of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and is Associate
Concertmaster of the Quad Cities Symphony Orchestra. Along with performing,
Emily also maintains a private violin studio and resides in Chicago with
her husband.

the McGaw YMCA in Evanston. His interest in contemporary music is mirrored

*Ryan Loeckel* is an active musician, vocalist and arts administrator based
