[Communications] [Resources] [Finance] Fwd: C.C.G.A. - Invitation to Connect w/ Chicago Community Garden Tours

Hi all,

WRD was at the very least a known entity with whom we have some history, so
I don't consider that a relevant precedent for allowing people to come to
meetings. Communications gets lots of emails from marketers seeking to
enlist our website "business" and they are routinely ignored. Julie picked
up on this because it was so cleverly worded to capture our attention.

So I agree with Cordia that our meetings have enough of our business to
contend with without a visitor completely unknown to us. We should at least
make decisions on the basis of a few committee people, in this case from
communicates. Erik, Amy and JW and I see these emails. I ignored this one
after reading to the end and seeing questionable indications,  as did
everyone but Julie which is why I then involved all other committees.
Julie is a very welcoming person, and I we honor and respect her for that.
We still need more than one person's fiat on meeting invitations.
