[Communications] Volunteer Opportunities

Hello!

My name is Emilio Velez, and I am a segment producer on the television program “The Fixers”.  On the show, we follow a group of four expert builders at they travel the globe and work on various community build projects.

Next month, we will be traveling to the Austin neighborhood in Chicago to renovate a community garden space with the Root-Riot Urban Garden Network.  As part of our build, we will be putting together a greenhouse in the community space as well as multiple new beds for plants.

I am reaching out because, as this is a project that is for the community, we are looking for people from the community who may be interested in volunteering.

We will be filming for 6 days in April, and we would love to potentially partner up with your organization if you’re able to provide some volunteers.  We think this would be an excellent opportunity for your volunteers to give back, as well as a chance to publicize your organization on a national television series.
