We're actively monitoring any developments related to the COVID-19 novel coronavirus and staying in touch with partners and other stakeholders including: the Chicago Park District, the City of Chicago, the Illinois Department of Public Health and the CDC. We are always committed to sustaining a safe and healthy environment for our community. We are aware that the situation is evolving, but for the time being we will stay open normal hours and welcome visitors to enjoy the beauty of our gardens and for programs and events. What we are doing at the Conservatory We are adding measures to help ensure the safety and well-being of all who walk through our doors including: Adding more hand sanitizer and tissues in our lobby for visitors to use. A deep cleaning of our lobby areas utilizing an EPA-registered disinfectant Increasing the frequency of cleaning the facility, in particular doorknobs, crashbars, glass, programming resources and restrooms. Asking all staff and volunteers to stay home if they are feeling sick. Asking all staff and volunteers who have traveled from level 2 or 3 countries to not report for their shifts What we are asking you and all visitors to do Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds and follow CDC recommended preventive actions. Please stay home if you are sick or feeling sick or have flu-like symptoms. Please use hand sanitizer and tissues available at the Visitor Services desk. You can also refer to ongoing updates related to the coronavirus from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and from the City of Chicago Department of Public health. If there are any changes we will be sure to share this information with you, on our website and on our social media platforms.
