Hello: There is still time to apply for the *Biodiversity Field Trip Grant
<https://www2.illinois.gov/dnr/education/Pages/GrantsIBFTG.aspx>* from the
Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR)!



If you are teacher – or know someone who is – in any grade level from Pre-K
to high school, you can apply to receive up to *$1000.00 per school*
($500.00 per teacher) for taking students on a field trip to study
Illinois’ natural resources. Some examples of field trips include visits to
nature centers, state parks, forest preserve district sites, museums,
national forests and related destinations.



*Grant applications must be must be postmarked by January 31st.* The time
and supporting documents required to apply for the *Biodiversity Field Trip
Grant <https://www2.illinois.gov/dnr/education/Pages/GrantsIBFTG.aspx>* are
generally much less onerous compared to most other grant applications. In
other words, meeting the Jan. 31 deadline should easily fit into your
upcoming busy schedule of work.

and other organizations. For example, we will be hosting a virtual meeting
in the near future focusing on how best to address social/environmental
justice via the myriad of grant programming opportunities available from a
