[ ]( # )      Exciting times ahead

In a world of ever-changing rules and regulations, what people seem to miss the most is the freedom to travel. Travelling inspires us, nurtures our souls and exposes us to new lifestyles; going in search of enriching experiences often means losing sight of the shore, abandoning ourselves to our instincts and intuitions, embracing life in all its splendour, allowing us to make new and exciting encounters.

They say that the world is your oyster and now, more than ever, we are eager to start exploring again. Whatever your passion, interest or liking, few places in the world can conjure up the idea of excellence as Italy. A culturally rich land with an enviable past, spectacular landscapes here live in unison with endless food feasts, geometrically perfect piazzas are echoed by world-famous museums, not to mention the legendary hospitality: feeling at home here is, simply put, an understatement.
This staggering wealth of opportunities, however, may appear daunting at first: letting expert people guide you in your choices is the best way to make the most of your stay, whether long or short, and learn about the marvels that abound in the sweet peninsula.

Elesta Traveling Passion

Elesta Art Travel becomes Elesta Travelling Passion: passions are, after all, the drive behind most human actions and the starting point of each and every new adventure.

Our passion for travel as a means of discovering the beauty of the people and places that lies around us, and your passion to join us for new and exciting adventures. We cherish travelling as much as you do, delivering ad-hoc itineraries that suit your needs, taking a sustainable approach where possible, always in search of a hidden gem and having an eye for details to provide the best experience ever.
Not your average travel agency, Elesta Travelling Passion is the only Italian tour operator with an artistic direction. This means that an advisory board made up by art critics, designers, art historians, museum directors and creative folks crafts all our itineraries, proposals and suggestions. Their competence encompasses all fields, ranging from archaeology to gaming, historic houses to architecture, and it is reflected in the expert guides and historians who accompany guests during the many experiences, for we believe in the power of communication as a means of conveying the soul of a place. Not merely stupendous museums or cutting-edge architecture, pretty piazzas and alfresco dining: we will reveal the story of the people who conceived them and the innovations brought along by pioneering visionaries, reinterpreting the past with an eye towards the future.

Over the years, “Made in Italy” has become a symbol of creativity, skill, craftsmanship and enviable talent: the same ability expressed by Giotto or Leonardo may be seen in more modern crafts. Our fully customisable tours give you the unique chance to follow your very own interests, learning about the artisans who lived here - and still do today – and the exceptional marvels they produced.
We go in search of the most exciting, fascinating and thought-provoking places, often far from the madding crowds, and let you see famous sights through the eyes of a connoisseur.

Our tours focus on a medium, an era or an art form, around which we build original itineraries: it’s a treasure trove of inspiration with the alluring appeal of the Grand Tour, going in search of mosaics, on the footsteps of famous past and present authors and artists or exploring the sophisticated and decadent villas of the northern lakes. You may also choose a hands-on approach and learn about ancient crafts and traditions with our workshops: will Sardinian pottery, mask making in Venice or the world of Carrara marbles tempt you? And don’t forget that this is a food-loving country: we will take you to the most striking restaurants and vineyards, idyllic venues where every meal and wine tasting is an unforgettable delight. We go in search of unique stories and original places, enjoying sublime experiences, letting you discover a precious land, replete with striking people, boasting a vast cultural heritage, where craftsmanship is pivotal and where natural beauties adorn sublime cities.

We are raring to go: will you come with us?

   A journey through Dante’s world

Allegedly one of the most famous poets in the world, Dante Alighieri left a lasting impression with his sensational Divine Comedy, the journey from his Inferno through to Paradiso, enriched by the vivid imagination and the artistry of a brilliant writer. Dante is, in fact, considered the father of Italian language and several phrases coined by him are still in use today. 2021 marks the 700th anniversary of his death and celebrations are taking place all over Italy, throughout the year.

We wanted to pay homage to this memorable figure and have crafted two itineraries that retrace his steps: unbeknownst to many people, Dante was avid traveller, going from Rome to Pisa, Treviso to Padua, Ravenna and Verona. Visiting the places he stayed in means going back in time and getting to know this fundamental figure at close hand.
Choose a week-end in Verona, where Dante spent seven years as a guest of the Della Scala family; walk though the exciting city centre, rich in sensational churches, visit a museum and then admire the exceptionally well preserved Roman arena.
You will also learn that William Shakespeare may owe a debt of gratitude to Dante: the latter was, in fact, the first person to mention the Montagues and Capulets in his Purgatorio. Visiting Juliet’s Balcony, made famous by the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, thus becomes a highlight.

And if you thought that Dante only lived in the past, think again: we will take you to a most extraordinary vineyard in Valpolicella, where Dante’s descendant, Serego Alighieri, produces excellent wine. An enviable chance to toast to en epic character. Why not go full circle and enrich this experience with our On Dante’s footsteps tour?
Touching on real masterpieces, such as Mantua’s impossibly beautiful Palazzo Ducale, the joys of Lake Garda and stunning Sirmione, Giotto’s stupendous Scrovegni Chapel in Padua, the magic mosaics in Ravenna, elegant Bologna and majestic Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance. Then San Gimignano, the Manhattan of the Middle Ages, Fiesole , charming Orvieto with its stunning Duomo and then Rome, the eternal city.

This is your opportunity to experience Italy from an original point of view, admiring treasures and sights at your own pace, assisted by a competent guide, who will accompany you on a most magnificent trip.
Let Dante’s journey become your journey.

   Live Milan through different eyes

One of the very few positive aspects brought by the recent troubled times is the chance most of us have to rediscover the beauties that lie around us.
Milan is a case in point: the financial heart of Italy, hectic and vibrant, the city is brimming with exceptional museums, Liberty-style buildings, hidden churches and trendy shops, which often do not get their well-deserved attention.

We want to give you the chance to live the city in a special way, find some time to pamper yourself or take up a new interest.
Together with the Best Western Galles Hotel in Milan, we put together three options that relate to architecture, photography and cooking.

Discover the exciting Milan skyline from the terraces of the Galles Hotel and admire old and new skyscrapers; learn the skill of exceptional architects such as
Gio Ponti, Zaha Hadid or Stefano Boeri. Accompanied by the architect, guide and author Monica Torri, enjoy a few hours or even longer at the hotel, with access to the SPA and gym, or add a sublime dinner to mark the end of a perfect day,

If photography is your credo, enjoy a night photo workshop with our programme Milano City Lights.Accompanied by Giorgio Sitta, a professional photographer, you will learn the tricks of the trade and how to capture that long sought-after moonlit shot, as well as an introduction to post-production, with hints on noise reduction and various other techniques.Make the most of your stay at the Best Western Galles Hotel before or after the workshop, dining with friends or enjoying an aperitif.
The city will never the look the same.

Foodies will also be in their element, as we’ll give you the chance to learn from the master: enjoy three or four hours with chef Emmanuele Lo Biondo, according to your chosen option.
He will tell you everything you‘ll need to know to cook a feast. Stemming from Sicily, he brings Sicilian zest to his menus and enriches every dish. You will have the chance to taste all the delicacies after the course, accompanied by a lovely wine: make this experience extra special and add some time at the hotel, relaxing at the SPA or even staying the night.

This really is Milan under a new light.        [ DISCOVER MORE ]( https://www.elestatravel.it/experiences/?utm_source=sendinblue&utm_campaign=Rebranding&utm_medium=email )            [ ]( # )
