Hi,

Mamie directed me to you to see if there are any gardeners around who would be interested in helping my Asian Human Services' LEAF (Literacy Education for Adults and Families) summer camp students plant a garden. Please see the below email.

Update: The kind staff at Gethsemane Garden Center donated 10 bags of potting soil that I used to prep our plant/flower beds. I will pick up plantings tomorrow or early Friday morning. We plan to start our garden this Friday.

Thanks,

Mary Margaret Callaghan

Hello Mary! The CCGA Resources and Distributions Team suggested that you join the CCGA Forum to share your project with a number of gardeners, some of whom may be located close to your summer camp and may also be Asian. To join the CCGA Forum, please email a request to communications at chicagocommunitygardens.org<mailto:communications at chicagocommunitygardens.org>. Best, Mamie

Hello!

I am coordinating summer camp for Asian Human Services' LEAF (Literacy Education for Adults and Families) immigrant and refugee children. We would like to make over the flower/plant beds next to our office on Peterson and California as part of our summer long earth appreciation service project. Problem is, we have no materials and no budget to purchase them.

Additionally, we'd like to have an experienced gardener come out to teach the kids how to plant.

Can you help? We would be so grateful!

Best,

Mary
