FREE; Donations appreciated Wednesdays 10am-8pm | Thursday-Sunday 10am-5pm A 90-minute timed entry reservation now includes the indoor gardens and the main outdoor gardens with more than 10 acres to explore! The Play and Grow Garden and the Artist’s Garden remain closed at this time. Indoor garden access will remain as it is now with the following rooms closed for the health and safety of visitors and staff, due to limited space and pathways: The Fern Room, Horticulture Hall, Jensen Room, and the EMG Children’s Garden. We will be following current City of Chicago guidelines regarding masking and other safety protocols and operating at reduced capacity. Reservations are required. Register for Ask a Master Gardener Wellness Group for People with Disabilities June 7 - July 16 The Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance is partnering with Rush University Medical Center to offer a 6-week nature-based program specifically designed for people with disabilities, from June 7-July 16. Nature is beneficial to wellbeing and we seek to increase accessibility in programming. Led by an Occupational Therapy student, the wellness group is for individuals with any mental health, physical, intellectual, or developmental disability who want to spend time at Garfield Park Conservatory. FREE Nature Play Kits for pick up, created by the Conservatory Nature Education team. Register today to pick up a Nature Play Kit! These kits include everything your kids need to create a nature-based craft on a different theme every month. Kits are free and you can register for one per child. All kits are to be picked up in person outside at the Conservatory. June Nature Play Kits will be available for pickup on Saturday, June 19th. Warren Blvd, Chicago IL, 60607 Smooth and Social Roots, a Black-owned and operated Urban Farm and CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), started on the South Side and is now expanding its operation to the West Side with a new cafe. Founder David Edwards grew up on the South Side and remembers not having many options for fresh groceries growing up. He sees similar issues after moving here to the West Side and he is working to be a part of the solution in accessing healthy food in our community.
