It’s been a bit of a perfect storm: we’ve been getting really low (almost nonexistent) participation rates, coupled with the fact that we’ve been dealing with a huge floor move that I’ve been coordinating and I had a health issue I was dealing with for a bit.

Hello Sarah,

I'm following up on several emails from you to CCGA, starting in June, in which you requested information about our community gardens and gave us a list of 18 communities, 8 of which were your preferred focus for your volunteers to work in community gardens.

An e-introduction was made for you with North Pond Gardeners as well, and most recently with Ellen Newcomer in order to have your volunteers help in community gardens.  The gardens where Ellen would most need volunteers are not in your preferred list, but we thought we'd give it a try.  The plant distributions which her Resources committee oversees provide seed packets, seedlings, vegetables and mature plants for all of our community gardens, certainly those in your selected areas.

If you can give us some feedback to let us know where we stand in providing you with these introductions. Let us know where we can assist in matching garden stewards with what you will want in the next garden season of 2022.  We'll be working on some new features on our website to better facilitate the kind of request your organization and others make of CCGA for volunteer opportunities.
