We are a citywide organization of volunteers.  We don't operate outside the city nor ask our gardeners to take on the cost of travel outside of the city.

I’m reaching out today because our organization, a nonprofit dedicated to serving the families of critically and chronically ill children, has a need for volunteer gardeners. Specifically, we’re looking for gardeners to lend their expertise to help us maintain the gardens/grounds at two of our Ronald McDonald Houses – the House near Loyola University Medical Center (Hines, IL) and the House near Advocate Children’s Hospital (Oak Lawn, IL).

The Ronald McDonald Houses are homes away from home for thousands of families each year. In these spaces we provide lodging, meals, community and many essential services so the families are well taken care of and can focus on what matters most – their children.

That said, it’s important for the Houses to look great and to offer feelings of home to our guest families. This includes the gardens and outdoor spaces at each location. So, I’m wondering if you have any passionate gardeners who might be able/willing to help out at our gardens to build them up, keep them maintained and make them beautiful for our guest families.

If this might be of interest to you please let me know, and I would be more than happy to share any additional information that would be helpful.
