Hi!

This summer, Advocates for Urban Agriculture (AUA) is proud to offer a 
2-part event series called Soil Stories that will expose Chicagoland 
community members to deeper ways of connecting with the soil that sustains 
us. *The second event of the summer will take place at First Nations Garden 
in Albany Park on Sunday, August 27!*

Soil is a living organism that nourishes and sustains growth and carries 
powerful histories. First Nations Garden in Albany Park embodies this 
wisdom by providing a healing space for Chicago’s First Nations communities 
and promote public knowledge and appreciation of Chicago’s Indigenous 
landscape and ecosystems. AUA's Soil Testing Steward, Yahdi Caprice.

Attendees at this event will learn more about the work of Chi Nations Youth 
Council and have an opportunity to explore their own relationship soil, 
land and compost with a guided reflection led by AUA's Soil Testing 
Steward, Yahdi Caprice. This event will end with a work day for 
participants to volunteer at the garden sites.
