[Chicago Excellence In Gardening Awards]

Submit your Chicago garden now!     Enter the 2023 Chicago Excellence in Gardening Awards today! Are you as excited as we are? And not just because we finally received some much needed rain (though that's a very good thing). We're stoked because entries for the 2023 Chicago Excellence in Gardening Awards (CEGA) are arriving every day. And we're getting noticed by Chicago media. Check out this story in Block Club Chicago, and this one in Hey, Chicago by City Cast. But you have just a little more than TWO WEEKS to enter Chicago's only citywide gardening competition. CEGA is not-for-profit and the competition is FREE, but entries must be received by the end of June 30 to be considered to receive a lovely all-weather sign, courtesy of the Forest Preserve District of Cook County (one of our terrific partners), which you can see below. Of course, the signs also come with bragging rights in your neighborhood. Did we mention that 3 lucky gardeners will win a rain barrel, courtesy of our friends at the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) and Commissioner Kim du Buclet? And that's just for entering the contest! Enter your garden now!
