To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Nandi Bryan and I am a second year law student at Howard
University School of Law. I am reaching out to you because I am currently
enrolled in my school’s Movement Lawyering Clinic led by Professor Justin
Hansford. This clinic aims to work with nonprofits to highlight issues that
are impacting local communities.

We are partnering with the UN Permanent Forum on People of African Descent
this semester to present research on the UN's Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs) in several cities across the United States. The Permanent Forum aims
to highlight the inequities of people of African descent and develop
solutions to ensure proper human rights for all people of African
descent.: https://www.ohchr.org/en/permanent-forum-people-african-descent

We hope that through our research efforts, we will be able to bring
awareness about the UN's SDGs and how they are specifically impacting Black
Chicagoans. I am calling on your assistance with any knowledge that you may
have about this problem.
In mid-April, we will be holding a town hall in Chicago to discuss these
issues.
Upon my research, I found that Chicago Community Gardeners Association has
employed efforts to bettering the UN's SDGs in Chicago by equipping people
with tools to live more sustainably through community-driven, hands-on
programs and innovative research projects. I was wondering if your
organization would be interested in participating in this townhall and
would love to have the organization be a part of this. I think Chicago
Community Gardeners Association will be helpful in discussing the efforts
they have administered to better the Chicago community.
I would be happy to talk with you more about this town hall, if this is
something you believe your organization would be interested in. If you
would like to get in contact, please do not hesitate to email me or give me
a call at (202)596-9287.
Best,
Nandi
