I was proud to join Ferrero Chocolates to announce and celebrate the grand opening of their Innovation Center and Research and Development Labs in the historic Marshall Field building here in the 5th district.  Ferrero will be adding over 150 jobs to the 5th district and will allow for their research development to continue to grow in our area.

Cancer Center Groundbreaking

This center will explore and develop innovative ways to prevent and reduce the devastating effects of cancer. I look forward to seeing this center opening and serving the community.

ETA Creative Arts 52nd Annual Gala

Congratulations to ETA Creative Arts for hosting their 52nd annual gala. It was a wonderful event highlighting their commitment to the arts. eta Creative Arts Foundation was founded in 1971 as a non-profit organization to provide training and performance opportunities for youth and adults on Chicago's South Side. eta has become one of Chicago's leading performing arts organizations in the Black community, with a commitment to the production of new works and the development of individual artists.

District Mobile DMV

I would like to invite residents of the fifth legislative district to a Mobile DMV event being facilitated by the office of Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias. The event will be held Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Chicago Urban League located at 4510 South Michigan Avenue. 
Services provided at the event will include driver’s licenses, state identification cards, registration stickers, voter registration, organ and tissue donor elections and REAL ID. Senior Only DMV Locations
-------------------------

Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Gianoulias, has launched two “Senior Only” walk-in centers in the Chicago area. The two locations include the Evanston Civic Center, 2100 N Ridge Road in Evanston and Seat Geek Stadium, 7000 S Harlem Ave in Bridgeview.

 

Seniors at these locations will not need appointments, as these walk-in centers are specifically designed to meet their needs.
