Hi Mamie,
I hope you’re doing well! I think your list that you use for the emails you send for Resources plant distributions would be more useful for gleaning emails of gardens. Or maybe you could share the spreadsheet from the community garden list/map that you and JW have been working on?
The general CCGA Mailchimp list is over 2,000 now, with people subscribing on a regular basis.
I had to upgrade the account to a paid account recently because it’s only free up to 2,000 subscribers. So, now there are 3 user names available. It also does not contain any “ads.” You and JW already have access to the MailChimp account through the log in we’ve always used. But we can defintely set up additional users if that’s helpful.
Neither you or JW have reached out to me about this - so I was a bit surprised to read that you are “waiting” for me. LOL.
Let’s talk about it soon - I’m available, just back and forth from Chicago to Michigan a lot.
Take care,
Amy

> Good morning Deb, I hope all is well with you, too! “It is my understanding,” that, presently, Mailchimp totals over 1,770 subscribers (from newsletters, conferences, distributions, etc.). Although the list that I use focuses on “community gardeners,” it also includes some subscribers who should be deleted. I once worked with Pat Hart to get this done, and then with Ellen. Ellen and I have talked about cleaning the list in the Fall (after various community gardens have been put to bed for the season). Once the list is cleaned and updated, I will not need the use of my sister’s, Mary Anne, gmail account because Gmail limits the number of incoming and outgoing mail in a 24 hour period; and although Mailchimp does not have this limitation, it does come with “ads.” So, neither list is really ready for prime time. In fact, JW and I are waiting on Amy Olson to create accounts to Mailchimp for the Communications Committee to, once again, have access. After reading this email, please let me if you have any questions, or feel free to give me a call (708-990-7939). Best, Mamie

We were talking about seeing who is and isn't showing up to the distributions or folks we could notify if we have leftover plants. In particular, the September distribution will probably be "massive" again, and it would be great if we could have a few more gardens to come (or help determine why they are not coming)....last year we had a lot of plants remaining after the distribution.
