Hello,

This is not for communications to do without allowing those who've known
Julie since the inception of CCGA , those who've known Julie possibly
longer than anyone on the communications team.  Cordia has been deeply
affected by this loss.  A lasting Tribute will take thought, planning, and
finances from more sources than our own, most likely.  Angela is tasked
with pulling people and ideas together at the Sept. 17 coordinating
committee meeting. Perhaps we can give her a chance to bring our voices
together in a meaningful way that is more inclusive than what
communications alone would do.

A mere email blast about Julie with just a few days before the celebration
of her life is a bit hasty from my perspective. Facebook and Instagram are
temporal posts. How did this become suddenly urgent?

Greetings!

My mother, Julie Samuels, passed away on July 19.   Her Celebration Of Life
party is happening this Saturday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Pleasant Home in Oak
Park.  At 2 p.m. I will give people an opportunity to share their favorite
memories of Julie.  I would love to see everyone who can make it.  If you
can not make it, please consider viewing her online obituary and adding a
comment. (See below.)

My brother, Noah, and I have officially designated CCGA as the recipient
for donations, in lieu of flowers.
