July Updates from the 5th District

Happy almost end of July to all of you! This month has flown by in record speed with the heat and I have been busier than ever meeting many of you. I wanted to take this time to thank everyone who came to our Mobile DMV Event the other week. I truly enjoyed connecting with some of you and helping facilitate your access to important services. I am eager to continue advocating for similar events which bring government to YOU.

 

In the next week, there is a Town Hall event I urge you to attend and share feedback. I will be hosting a Town Hall with Senator Mattie Hunter and Representative Harper on the 27th. These Town Halls are unique opportunities to shape government policy and ensure your voice is heard. We are here to provide you with the services that you need.

 

Lastly, our communities are bustling with summer energy. This weekend we enjoyed live music in Millennium Park to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Park. I spent 6 years working for the Chicago Park District and know how important it is that we celebrate and use our green spaces. Let's keep this summer momentum going into August!
