June Updates From the 5th District
==================================

Happy beginning of summer everyone!

School might be out, but our communities are more alive than ever! It was heartwarming to see so many of you come together to celebrate Juneteenth, sharing stories, laughter, and a strong sense of unity. This inclusive spirit is what makes our community so special, and I am excited to keep it alive throughout the summer as your Representative.

Summer is a time for reconnecting and rejuvenating. Our local farmer's markets are brimming with fresh, local produce, perfect for those summer barbecues and family dinners. Block parties are in full swing, offering a chance to dance, enjoy good food, and create lasting memories with neighbors. Community meetings continue to be a cornerstone for discussing important issues and planning for our future. I look forward to seeing you all at these events, celebrating the vibrancy of our community.

As temperatures rise, it's important to find ways to stay cool and comfortable. I wish everyone a Happy Pride Month! Let's take this opportunity to celebrate love, diversity, and inclusion in all its forms. If you're looking for a place to beat the heat, the City of Chicago has numerous cooling centers available. Check out the resources below for more information on the nearest locations to you.

Connecting with you is one of the most rewarding aspects of my role. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns, or comments about community events. Whether it's a suggestion for a new initiative or feedback on current projects, your input is invaluable. I am here to listen, support, and advocate for your needs.

Together, we can make this summer not just a season, but a celebration of our community's strength and unity. I am committed to forging stronger bonds within the 5th District and working tirelessly to ensure our community thrives.

Wishing you all a fantastic, fun-filled summer,

Best,

Kimberly DuBuclet

State Representative-5th District
