What if we could add a month or two onto each end of the growing season? Or, what if, with the right plant varieties and appropriate covering, we could grow and harvest year-round…without added heat? Enter the high and low tunnel.

In this workshop, you’ll learn about various high and low tunnels in a classroom presentation. Then, we’ll head out to the MCC Student Farm to see two distinct high tunnels in operation - one with electricity and one without. We’ll discuss the pros and cons of each and see a low tunnel as well.
