*FREE GARDEN CLUB PROGRAM *

The Garden Club of Morgan Park/Beverly Hills will host its annual free
community event at the Beverly Arts Center on Wednesday, October 2 from 10
a.m. to 11 a.m.  Doors open at 9 a.m.  The speaker is Annamarie Leon
Diblik, who will speak on "Ecosystems in the City and How to Apply
Permaculture Principles."

Permaculture is a philosophy of working with, rather than against nature;
of protracted and thoughtful observation rather than protracted and
thoughtless labor; and of looking at plants and animals in all their
functions, rather than treating any area as a single product system.
