September Updates from the 5th District

Happy beginning of Fall from the 5th District! As the leaves begin to change and Chicago is more beautiful than ever, I was proud to attend The Magnificent Mile Luncheon and meet with leaders in Illinois tourism. We discussed how to keep Chicago and the Magnificent Mile a top tourist destination. I love highlighting all the amazing small businesses and retailers in the 5th District and broader Chicago community.

 

As many families are now into the full swing of the school year, it was my pleasure to celebrate HB 4895 with our students. Our students are passionate about investing in their future and helping implement a science curriculum that best meets their concerns. It was incredibly inspiring to witness many of these young leaders advocate for their beliefs and disagree with kindness and respect. I hope we can all learn from their example and take action in our communities to stand up for causes we believe in.
