Hi Emily,
Sorry for the late reply. Here are some things you can do. Go to our
website (https://chicagocommunitygardens.org/) and make sure you use the
widget to add your email to our mailing list. That way you would receive
any newsletters and announcements.
Second, I am copying Mamie Grey so she can add you to the email list that
receives announcements of our Resources group’s plant distributions. Your
group is greening a lot of public space which we love. We would consider
your group as a ‘community garden’ for the purposes of the distributions
and if you attend each distribution throughout the year it would be a good
infusion of plants for your public spaces over the years.
Otherwise, you or anyone from your organization could always actively join
one of the CCGA working groups. We are all volunteers and each group needs
folks to join us. We have monthly meetings (3rd Tuesday of the month at
6pm) you could attend. The February meeting is on Zoom and next week, the
link is here:
https://chicagocommunitygardens.org/ccga-coordinating-meetings-2025/
Again, we are an umbrella organization helping community gardens across the
city of Chicago.
Have a great weekend.
