Hello,
As of our most recent meeting of committee chairs and interested gardeners,
we have had no response to your proposal to explore gardening and
harvesting as community practices in Chicago with CCGA. Perhaps it is too
far in advance of actual gardening while we are still in very cold winter
weather.
If you would kindly take a bit more time to be more specific on how you
would engage with one of our garden projects or connect with a community.
We have many community gardens throughout the city, all of which rely on
volunteers to maintain the garden beds. There must be a possibility for
collaboration.
The only ongoing project I can give you details about is the Legacy
Gardener Project. You kind find details about this project from a
promotion post of Facebook
https://chicagocommunitygardens.org/2024/05/04/legacy-gardener-film-project-premiere-wednesday-may-22/
This project came out of the Education Committee, of which I am co-chair.
We will be videotaping again in the spring and summer of 025. Please feel
free to contact me with questions, and I will continue to look for projects
that may value your participation.
