Hello Advocates!

I am MJ Oviatt, educator at the Savanna Institute
<http://www.savannainstitute.org/>, a non-profit dedicated to planting more
trees in the Midwest. We encourage farmers and landowners to *grow more
fruit and nut trees* and shrubs for the health of the land and our
communities! One of our favorite plants is *Amelanchier*, or serviceberry!

On June 21st, we are hosting a *Juneberry Tasting and Immersive Farm Tour
<https://www.eventbrite.com/e/juneberry-tasting-immersive-farm-tour-at-fields-restored-tickets-1324039360369?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=listing&utm-source=cp&aff=ebdsshcopyurl> *on
at our demonstration farm, Fields Restored, in Oregon, IL.

Serviceberry (or juneberry) is a very common landscaping plant, but the
berries are more than edible--they are delicious! *If you have never tasted
one, now is your chance to try berries from over 10 cultivars at once!*

Bring an extra basket to take home some extra fruit!
