This afternoon, a dozen farmers and farmer-supporting organization leaders
are lined up to testify at an Illinois state House Agriculture Committee on
the federal funding freeze. You're welcome to watch the hearing live with

The state House Agriculture Committee is holding a Subject Matter Hearing
to investigate the impacts of the USDA funding freeze, tariffs, and the
delayed farm bill on our state's agriculture and food system.

Farmers and others testifying will share their stories. We'll hear from

   - Illinois Stewardship Alliance
   - Chicago Food Policy Action Council
   - Farmers Rising
   - Greater Chicago Foods
   - Eastern Illinois Food Bank
   - Jo Davies Local Foods
   - Finding Justice A Flower and Vegetable Garden
   - Midnight Sun Farm
   - Tulip Tree Gardens
   - Fuller Park Community Dev DBA Eden Place Farms
   - Cedar Valley Sustainable Farm
   - Floreyfarm
   - Chicago Food Policy Action Council
   - 4 Lees Farm
   - Bartman Farm
   - Down at the Farms


We hope their testimony will help encourage USDA to lift the freeze on
federal programs that are important to local food producers, like IL EATs
and the Regional Food System Infrastructure (RFSI).
