Dear Chicago Community Gardeners Association,

I’m reaching out to share the news that Let It Be Us, an Illinois 501(c)3
and licensed child welfare agency, is now managing all foster care
adoptions for the State of Illinois. As part of our advocacy to improve the
Illinois nationwide standing within permanency and adoption, we are excited
to invite you to our upcoming *Ladies Leadership Luncheon*, with our
special guest Illinois Senator Sara Feigenholtz. Senator Feigenholtz is a
long-time Illinois adoption legislative advocate.

The *Ladies Leadership Luncheon* will take place on *Tuesday, April 15
*at *Union
League Club of Chicago*. Hosted by the Let It Be Us Board of Directors and
Board Member *Kaycee Coles*, this daytime event will focus on “Girls in
Foster Care – Their Outcomes and Their Future” and also feature:

   - *Senator Sara Feigenholtz*, Adoption Advocate and Illinois State
   Senator
   - *Dr. Susan A. McConnell*, Executive Director of Let It Be Us, on the
   Future for girls in foster care
   - *Ni’Yuana Baker*, Lived Experience Expert
   - *Jocelyn Fetting*, Lived Experience Expert

by helping us connect with attendees who could benefit from this event.
