Hello Alma!

We’d love to help you locate a community garden for a volunteer work day. What area of the city would you like to be in? I’ve included Ellen Newcomer on this email, who works with our resources and distributions team, and she can help connect you with community gardens that would be a good fit.

Happy Spring!
Amy

My name is Alma Tatem, and I am reaching out on behalf of Échale Ganas, a mentorship program dedicated to supporting and empowering high school students as they navigate their academic and professional journeys. Our program focuses on fostering leadership, community engagement, and personal growth, and we are always looking for meaningful ways to give back to the Chicago community.

Our goal is to bring our mentors and mentees together for a day of service, learning, and connection with nature. We are hoping to schedule this event on a weekend in late April to the middle of May and would greatly appreciate any recommendations for a local garden that could use extra hands during that time.
