Hi Chicago Community Gardens-

My name is Sherry Manning and I am the Founder and CEO of Global Seed Savers
<http://www.globalseedsavers.org/>. We are a Denver based international
development non-profit that works to build food and seed sovereignty across
the Philippines.

One of our Chicago based board members recommended I reach out to you all
about an up-coming documentary film screening we are hosting in Chicago on
Friday, June 27th at the FACETS Film Forum the film is entitled, *Hasik:
"To Sow"* (view the film trailer here <https://vimeo.com/1024800720>) and
learn more about the event in Chicago here
<https://secure.givelively.org/event/global-seed-savers/chicago-premier-screening-of-hasik-to-sow-documentary-film>
.

Below are some ways that you can engage with this special screening:

- Tabling at the opening reception prior to the screening. Tables will be
provided by the venue and you are welcome to share information about your
programs and offerings at Chicago Community Gardens even better if you have
seeds to share or sell. Tabling will include admission for 2 guests to the
film. The reception will start at 5:30pm. You can arrive by 5pm to set up.

- Consider sponsoring the screening. Please see the sponsorship packet
attached.

- Share about the screening with your networks on social media and other
platforms. I am including the event flyer and here
<http://bit.ly/hasikchicago> is the link for tickets and more details for
the screening.

Looking forward to hearing back from you and I hope you and your community
can join us next month for this exciting film screening.

Thanks,

Sherry

Film Credits:

This documentary film shares the stories of seed savers from across the
three regions of the Philippines - Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Despite
encountering various systemic barriers, these farmers persist in their
seed-saving efforts in the hopes of preserving Indigenous culture, native
biodiversity, and agricultural heritage.
