Mikol,

The Communications Team at CCGA is pleased to hear of your corporate
volunteer group in honor of Juneteenth 2025 (Thursday, June 19) and we
whole-heartedly welcome your participation. In recent years there
have been many community garden celebrations, and there will surely be many
this year as well.

We are working on our website to make it easier for groups or individuals
to participate in work days or events, but meanwhile the communications
team can assist you. Your group of adults will need to wear sunblock,
close-toed shoes, long pants, carry water bottles (no plastic, please) and
a cap is optional but recommended.
The Kuumba-tre ahm garden hosts a workday of weeding and gardening activity
and your participation is eagerly anticipated. Gina, the garden steward,
is copied on this email to give you details.

Your willingness to get involved beyond just this special day
is appreciated, so the information will be shared with all of our working
group chairs and community gardeners at our May 20 coordinating meeting.
This email will be forwarded to our teams in Resources and Distributions
and the Advocacy and Outreach team. The community gardens stewarded by them
possibly need committed volunteers to work in gardens on the south and west
sides of the city on an ongoing basis.

Please reply if there is any misunderstanding in meeting your request.

Best,
Communications Team
