Good Afternoon AUA community -

It's baaaaaack! Applications are open for Advocates for Urban Agriculture's
<https://www.auachicago.org/> 2025 Farmer to Farmer Mentorship
program. *Mentors
can apply HERE <https://forms.gle/bRqUdFZseZuqFQKj6> and mentees can
apply HERE <https://forms.gle/zha2VQpqRzwEDHQt8> by Friday, May 23rd.*

AUA’s Farmer to Farmer Mentorship Program responds to the community-stated
need for spaces where growers can learn, grow, and be in relation to one
another. The program pairs earth stewards who are looking to expand their
knowledge with experienced earth stewards in a hybrid (on-farm and virtual)
mentorship program. Calling on the rich knowledge in our growing community,
the program provides a space for:

   - Self-directed learning on agriculture topics supported by skilled
   growers from throughout the Chicago region
   - Hands-on workshops on key topics relating to growing in Chicago
   - Building a web of interconnected land stewards in the Chicago region

AUA recognizes that transforming our food future requires us to think
critically about the ways we engage with labor and compensation practices.
For this reason, both mentors and mentees are supported financially for
their time, commitment, and labor throughout the duration of the program.*
