Good morning,
Tucker, Water Access Steward with AUA, here.
For those who seek a Hydrant Use Permit (HUP)
<https://www.auachicago.org/news/chicago-growers-guide-2025-hydrant-use-permit-policy>
annually, the website
<https://hup.betterstrongersaferchicago.org/#/comGardenInfo> has been down
for a few weeks. Department of Water Management (DWM) employees who handle
these matters directly have been unable to view your application or
additional materials submitted on their end. If you submitted an
application or materials before the website went down, they will be unable
to see it until the system is fixed on their end.
At this juncture, they will only be able to perform initial assessments. If
you have a question or concern, please reach out, and we can contact the
DWM together.
