<div dir="auto">Rock,<div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">That is good news! CCGA is open to partnering with Plant Chicago. We have a Zoom meeting coming up Tues. Jan 19 at 6 pm. Please join us during that meeting, but certainly we can meet on Zoom and talk before then if you prefer. It would help to shape what you want to share with us before the 19th to make the best use of our meeting time.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">The Resources Committee of CCGA has held seed give-a-ways at our annual spring conference and throughout the year plant distributions to community gardeners going back at least to 2013. During the pandemic they mastered contactless distributions of spring annuals, herbs and cool season crops. Summer vegetable seedlings distributions and several for other organizations unable to manage contact free events were also their work. </div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Our 2021 Spring Conference will be a video conference this year on March 20. It is typically the best month to get community gardeners together as they open their gardens and look for resources and information on growing. We have found it is not too soon for offering seeds so those cool season crops can go in the ground. As well this early date gives gardeners time to map out the rest of the growing season.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Let's talk.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Lorraine Kells</div><div dir="auto">Communications Committee</div><div dir="auto">Co-chair, CCGA Education Committee</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Fri, Jan 15, 2021, 8:37 AM Rock Evans via Communications <<a href="mailto:communications@chicagocommunitygardens.org" rel="noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">communications@chicagocommunitygardens.org</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr">Hi Chicago Community Gardens!<br><br>My name is Rock and I am the Education Manager at Plant Chicago. I am reaching out because I am planning a seeds/ seedling swap in April and again in December but for houseplants. I think with April being considered still early in Chicago spring, people will be planning for their sping/ summer gardens! We successfully and safely had our Pumpkin Smash in November so I am confident that in the spring/ summer we will be able to repeat it with the same precautions.<div><br></div><div>I was wondering if you had time this week or next week to connect and discuss CCG's potential in partnering with us on any of these events, and if not, to pick your brain for some options and resources!
