<span style="font-size:18px">Throughout February, the Metropolitican Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago celebrates Black History Month to highlight our commitment to diversity and to support and honor the achievements within the Black community. </span><br>

<span style="font-size:18px">This month, the district held its 4th Annual Pan-African Flag Raising Ceremony at the Barbara J. McGowan Main Office Building and all seven of our plants. In addition, we held an Environmental Justice Panel Discussion with a range of community organizers and leaders to hear their perspectives on the importance of advocating for environmental equity. Lastly, we hosted a virtual roundtable to discuss environmental justice issues and how community leaders can advocate for equity in contracting.</span>
