<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial Nova Light",sans-serif;color:#212529;background:white">The Chicago Office of Inspector General (OIG) announces the launch of its newest data dashboard, City Services by Address. This dashboard is a one-stop
shop to see City services and service area designations as they apply to any Chicago address. Users can input an address, and the dashboard retrieves valuable information related to that location, including ward, community area, zoning information, schedules
for City services, and more. </span><span style="font-family:"Arial Nova Light",sans-serif"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial Nova Light",sans-serif">“Information about how Chicago works belongs to Chicagoans,” said Deborah Witzburg, Inspector General for the City of Chicago. “This tool allows people meaningful access to information
about what City government looks like in their neighborhoods, on their blocks, and at their addresses,” said Witzburg.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial Nova Light",sans-serif">The City Services by Address dashboard will, for example, allow users to find the police district and beat in which a specified address falls, trash and recycling pick-up days for
that address, voting precinct, and whether a specified address is part of an Industrial Corridor or historic district, among other data points. Updated 2023 ward designation and community and neighborhood areas are reflected in the dashboard, and a terminology
glossary and a user guide overlay are included for ease of use.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial Nova Light",sans-serif;color:#212529;background:white">This new dashboard initiates the creation of a new category of dashboards on the OIG website, Transparent City. “This work is in the service of our transparency
mandate,” said Witzburg. “A government is best held accountable by an informed and empowered constituency, and we’re working to build a City government which more closely resembles the one Chicagoans deserve.”

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial Nova Light",sans-serif;color:#212529;background:white">OIG’s dashboards were created to make City data more accessible, understandable, and engaging. The data for this dashboard comes from multiple sources,
including the </span><span style="font-family:"Arial Nova Light",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">Chicago Data Portal</span><span style="font-family:"Arial Nova Light",sans-serif;color:#212529;background:white">, internal City of Chicago databases,
and a list of valid Chicago mailing addresses. OIG follows a rigorous protocol to validate and clean data before presenting it in our Information Portal.
