<p class="bard-text-block style-scope" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; padding: 0px; margin: 13px 0px; line-height: 1.6;">Powdery Mildew is a very common headache for Chicago gardeners right now. Its ideal conditions are wet and humid days with cool evening temps. </p>
<p class="bard-text-block style-scope" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; padding: 0px; margin: 13px 0px; line-height: 1.6;">The good news is, this is an aesthetic disease. It mainly impacts of look of certain plants but doesn't heavily impact the overall health. </p>
<p class="bard-text-block style-scope" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; padding: 0px; margin: 13px 0px; line-height: 1.6;">Even more good news, powdery mildew is very easy to treat! Here are my two big suggestions:</p>

<li style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px; line-height: 1.6;"><b class="bard-text-block style-scope" style="padding: 0px; line-height: 1.6;">Reduce the moisture on your leaves!</b> Make sure you're watering in the morning. Aim for your roots near the bottom of the plants, and avoid getting water on the leaves which could sit and increase the humidity overnight. </li>
<li class="bard-text-block style-scope" style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px; line-height: 1.6;"><b class="bard-text-block style-scope" style="padding: 0px; line-height: 1.6;">Treat your plants with a Milk Spray</b><span class="bard-text-block style-scope" style="">. You can make a homemade spray with 40% regular milk and 60% water. Spray down the most heavily affected plants in the morning and the milk will help block the fungus spores. You can buy a fungicide called Copper Fungicide but studies have shown the homemade milk spray is just as effective.</span><br /></li>
