Introduction to Soil Science
The first session of our larger certification series, this 5 hr introduction meets twice and is required to move forward to any other units. It is designed to train soil advocates to amend soil in their yard, neighborhood, or community-led remediation project. You can enjoy the class without the certification track as well!
Instructor Nance Klehm leads participants through a science-based 4 unit course exploring the body, life, and chemistry of soil. Each unit is 4 weeks meeting once a week in person.
The course begins with this online introduction session offered and concludes with an individual capstone design project.
Tickets include two sessions; if you are moving on to the certification, both sessions are required to enroll in other units.
