The Kitchen Community is a nonprofit organization that builds edible Learning Gardens in Chicago public schools. Learning Gardens serve as outdoor, experiential classrooms that expose kids to real, healthy food. To date, we have gardens in 115 schools across the city. On June 14th, we will be honoring 25 CPS teachers who are doing exemplary work using their Learning Garden as a tool for teaching. Please join us in celebrating their efforts!
