Peterson Garden Project Plant Sale / Bake Sale

All proceeds from the sale will benefit Peterson Garden Project learning programs. Seedlings will be locally-grown, heirloom herb and vegetable varietals hand-selected by Peterson Garden Project for growing in Chicago. Seeds from Seed Savers Exchange will also be for sale. Baked goods will be hand made from local Chicago pastry chefs and bakeries.

Sun, May 11- 12pm-4pm – Mother’s Day special- we’ll be pouring wine on Sunday, May 11th!
There is no cost for admission. Cash and credit cards will be accepted. BYOB! (Bring Your Own Bag) – We ask that you please bring your own bags/trays for carrying your seedlings home.

We’ll also have an extensive selection of SEEDS from Seed Savers Exchange, as well as POTATO STARTS! For all our beginning gardeners, we will have plenty of expert gardeners walking around to help answer your questions and guide you through your decision process. It will be like having a personal shopper!
And, thanks to an overwhelming response from local home bakers and professional pastry chefs, our bake sale is going to be the best one yet! Word on the street is local pastry chef Amanda Rockman is donating some of her widely popular basque cakes for the sale! Click here to learn why Chicagoans can’t get enough of this cake.
Do yourself a favor and bring your mom on Sunday, buy her a hard to find heirloom seedling, and a cake. We’ll be pouring wine on Mother’s Day as well, thanks to our friends at Lindeman’s. Basically, you don’t want to miss out on this incredible sale. We’ll see you there!
