Learn how to extend your spring or fall growing season to 9-months or even year round production. Explore what crops and varieties perform best in Chicago. Specific techniques will be covered such as using row cover, building simple low tunnels and cold frames or even creating protected cultivation in a hoophouse. This workshop includes a hands-on basic low tunnel build out activity. This workshop is instructed by Britt Calendo, WCH PCC Wellness Farm Coordinator.
