DESCRIPTION:Across the country\, youth climate activists are mobilizing people to\nprotect the planet. In 2021\, Loyola’s Virtual Climate Change Conference\nwill focus on how we can amplify the voices of these young activists. \nFree Registration and conference agenda: \nhttps://www.luc.edu/sustainability/initiatives/climatechangeconference/ \nThis year\, we will be delivering you our signature conference through a\nweek long series of evening events and programming. Each evening\, you can\njoin us and participate in discussion around a variety of topics including: \n– our first-ever Keynote Conversation with youth climate activists Vic\nBarrett and Dejah Powell moderated by WBEZ’s Jerome McDonnell\,\n– an intergenerational conversation between our keynote climate\nactivists and their mentors\,\n– a panel discussion on how climate change is driving displacement\, and\nthe climate migrant’s plight\,\n– a panel on climate advocacy through art featuring local artists\, and\n– a discussion with indigenous youth activists. \nAll events will occur at 6pm during March 15-18th\, 2021.
